教室内で使うSilent signal＝「声を出さない意思表示」の一例です。

一人の生徒が発言している時、周囲の生徒がある仕草を繰り返しています。これはI agree with you.＝「あなたの意見に賛成です」という意思表示です。

This is an example of a silent classroom signal. You can see some of the students are making the same signal while listening to one student. This signal means "I agree with you" without saying the words aloud.

アメリカでは朝登校すると教室のドアは施錠されています。始業のベルがなると先生が開錠し生徒を中に迎え入れます。

雨の日も雪の日も生徒は外で並んで待つ必要があります。（もちろん屋根のついた待機場所があるようです）

At Mika's school, students have to wait for their teacher to open the door in the morning. When the bell rings, teachers open their doors and welcome students into the classroom.
